The optical design of the SpectraMax® 340Pc 384 Reader truly mimics a dual-beam spectrophotometer. It is a versatile 96- and 384-well format Absorbance reader and each well has its own sample beam and reference detector. The eight-channel system, consisting of eight sample beams and eight reference beams, delivers both superior precision and speed-ofreading across the microplate. The Molecular Devices SpectraMax® 340PC 384 Microplate Reader can run both standard spectrophotometer and microplate reader applications on the same instrument. This tunable visible absorbance reader is for 96- and 384-well microplates and acquires data in endpoint, kinetic, and spectral scan modes using wavelengths from 340-850 nm, tunable in 1 nm increments. The SpectraMax® 340PC 384 features correction for varying microplate well volumes and the elimination of standard curves based on PathCheck Technology, the temperature-independent pathlength correction method. For more sample throughput, the system can be easily integrated into a full robotic system and easily adapts to fit sample processing requirements.
